My Canadian hero is Joshua Carter Jackson for so many reasons.
He's a very talented actor who has played roles in many movies
and show episodes.
This incredible 21-year-old actor was born June 11th, 1978
in Vancouver, British Columbia. With his brown hair and blue
eyes he has risen his way up to fame (he had bleached his hair
for the film Urban Legends). Josh lives with his mother (Fiona),
sister (Ashleigh) and his two step brothers as well as three
pet (a turtle named Searesha, a cat named Magic and a dog named
Shumba, which means lion in Swahili). |

His acting credits include: Cruel Intentions, Gossip, Urban
Legends, Dawson's Creek, Apt Pupil, Wind River, Scream 2, On
the Edge of Innocence, D3: The Mighty Ducks, Robin of Locksley,
Ronnie & Julie, Magic in the Water, Andre, Willy Wonka and
the Chocolate Factory, D2: The Mighty Ducks, Digger, The Mighty
Ducks (first film), Crooked Hearts and has also appeared on the
episodes of Seventeen: The Faces for Fall (WB Special), Vibe,
Outer Limits (episode: Music of the Spheres), MacGyver, which
was filmed in Vancouver, and Champs.
Jackson's career got started when he was still a child. His
early childhood was exciting and he spent most of his time with
his casting director in California and the rest with his mother.
Soon Vancouver became a popular place for Hollywood to film movies
so Jackson and his mother
soon moved back to their old home in Vancouver. After their return,
Jackson enlisted his mother's help in some of his acting roles.
Like all famous actors, he started acting and playing parts in
commercials. Then came his role as Charlie in Willy Wonka and
the Chocolate Factory followed by Jackson's biggest hit to date,
The Mighty Ducks, D2: The Mighty Ducks and D3: The Mighty Ducks.
As a Canadian, Jackson must have felt right at home playing
a role as a hockey play considering that hockey is Canada's most
well-known and most common sport. Now it's on to Dawson's Creek,
a very successful television series for teenagers. As Pacey Witter,
Joshua Jackson has grabbed the attention of just about everyone.
Jackson says that his part in Dawson's Creek reminds him of
a time in his life when he grew up in a community based atmosphere.
Like Pacey, Jackson has an offbeat sense of humour and he enjoys
laughing and having a good time and often getting in trouble
for it. Pacey is kind of the oddball in his family because his
father is the sheriff of Capeside and his brother is a deputy.
He tends to spend more time with his mother and sisters as Jackson
does in his own life.
Jackson's latest role is in the movie Cruel Intentions starring:
Ryan Phillippe, Reese Witherspoon, and Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Jackson has held the hearts of many young fans and is continuing
