Creed Weathered
By Creed
(2001)
When Creed's third album, Weathered, was released it quickly debuted at number one on the US charts in December of 2001, making Creed one of the leading rock bands of the new millennium.

Creed is made up of the band's lead singer Scott Stapp of Orlando, Florida; backup vocalist and guitarist Mark Tremonti of Michigan; Brian Marshall (bass) of Florida; and drummer Scott Phillips, also of Florida. When the band released their debut album, My Own Prison, in 1998, it sold over six million copies. Their second album entitled Human Clay (1999), which featured the hits "Higher" and "With Arms Wide Open", debuted at number one on the Billboard charts and went on to sell more than ten millions copies. Their latest album, Weathered, also debuted at number one and sold more copies in the first week than any other rock release in 2001. Creed has been a huge success. They were the first band in history to have four number one Rock Radio singles from a debut album. Creed has topped countless year-end charts and got recognition as Rock Artist of the year at the 1998 Billboard Awards.

Creed's goal has always been "to make records that are solid from start to finish; records that take you through an entire range of emotions." That's exactly what Creed has done. Creed's songs take you though a journey of emotions, some good and some bad, but always passionate.

This summer's hit off their latest album, "One Last Breath" contained the lyrics "Hold me now, I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking, that maybe six feet ain't so far down."

Creed has had great success since the day back in 1998 when they released My Own Prison. Many of their songs have been charted as number one on the Billboards. They have reached many people through their songs since day one. "I knew we had talents to get a record deal and I knew we had songs good enough to get played on the radio, but I never had any expectations of reaching this many people" says lead singer, Stapp about the band's success. None-the-less, the band has phenomenal success since their debut.
